CULTURAL NOTES: In Argentina, commercial buildings and residential buildings can be in the same area. The lay out can be, first floor is a store, and the second story is a residence. Or the front portion of a house is the store, and the back is the housing. Sometimes apartment buildings have stores on their first level. The arrangement is pretty much like the Italian villas. In contrast in the US, the commercial areas have only stores without a living area for the owners.
